Earlier this year, in my Building something meaningful, one post at a time entry, I promised an update on my meditations — a proper follow‑up to the thread that began when my time‑management struggles collided with the consequences of chronic sleep deprivation. Given the sustained interest in one particular post — Insight Timer free vs. Medito — I thought that this might be the right moment to revisit the topic indeed. That update is still on my roadmap, but it will not be part of my summer schedule after all.
Despite several posts touching on meditation, health, or well‑being, I realized that none of them had a proper home in my taxonomy. They were simply… floating. Meanwhile, Time Management enjoys a fully established tag — with more than fifty entries, even a sub‑tag (GTD) to refine the structure further. And yet, neither of these themes belongs to the CogitActive Saga proper. They are not part of the project itself; they are the tools, the scaffolding, the side disciplines I had to develop in order to keep the project alive.
Which makes the imbalance all the more puzzling. Why should one of these auxiliary domains have a dedicated tag (and a sub‑tag, no less), while the other remains orphaned? Both emerged from the same necessity: the need to navigate obstacles that had nothing to do with podcasting or creating a website, yet everything to do with my ability to make progress. If anything, the posts on meditation and health are just as integral to the story — not because they advance the project directly, but because they document the cost of trying to advance it without the proper foundations.
It was time to correct this oversight. I am introducing a new tag: wellness. Not a Meditation tag — because meditation is only one facet of the larger theme. This new tag will gather posts related to health, well‑being, and the various attempts I have made (and will make) to avoid jeopardizing my health while trying to move the CogitActive project forward. As part of my ongoing Old blog post housekeeping, I will also retroactively tag the relevant past entries. Slowly, but surely…
As for this summer, instead of the meditation‑app review series I had originally planned, I will publish a different mini‑series — one that will naturally fall under this new tag. But I am not saying more.
