As I mentioned in my previous post, I find myself needing to revisit each of my past articles individually to uncover the hidden gem I seek. Although this endeavor will be time-consuming, it presents a wonderful opportunity to refresh and enhance my older posts. This idea first came to me upon reaching my 200th post milestone. However, as regular readers of this blog might recall, I was unable to embark on this project at that time due to time constraints.
So, what has changed since then? In truth, not much—I still find myself pressed for time. Yet, as I hinted in my post titled ‘Maybe with a Little Help,’ my recent discovery and subsequent use of Copilot has significantly boosted my productivity. Remarkably, I have even managed to restore my four-post buffer 1, a luxury I had not enjoyed since that fateful summer of 2020.
“So, what will I do?”
Here are a few of the things I’ll be thinking about:
- Check for broken links
- Implement external links best practices
- Add internal links (to future posts)
- Improve my links’ text anchor
- Generate anchors for headings
- Update content (as necessary for accuracy)
- Write round-up posts 2
It is important to note that my intention is not driven by SEO considerations, and I will preserve the original essence of these posts, even if I update them 3. Also, my focus will solely be on the content of the blog posts themselves, not on the blog’s overall structure — at least, not yet. Last, but not least, this process will allow me to refresh my memory on several fronts: what has been accomplished, what remains to be done, and what needs to be revisited (for instance, transitioning from cPanel to SiteGround’s Site Tools). This step is crucial for me to resume the CogitActive Saga indeed. Naturally, given the magnitude of this undertaking, I will initiate a new GTD project to manage it effectively.
Coming Next: Broken links
1 As I noted at the end of ‘Time Management: What If You Are Sick?’, I once maintained a small reserve of posts—four, to be exact. This buffer was invaluable, allowing me to take breaks or focus on more challenging content without disrupting the blog’s flow (weekly publication schedule — every Thursday, without fail). Regrettably, I depleted this reserve and, until recently, struggled to restore it. ^
2 A round-up post showcases your top content related to a specific subject, wrapped up in a single post. ^
3 I will indeed use my emendation block, keeping the original post AS SUCH (except for the links). ^
