This – Payment Method Expiration Approaching – was actually the subject of the email that I have received from SiteGround:
Your primary payment method – [obstructed] – expires soon.
To avoid any interruption to your hosting services, please log in to your SiteGround account to update the expiration date of your card on file.

Now, I have already covered this topic in a previous post (see Should I worry about credit card expiration with SiteGround?). However, this was before SiteGround New Client Area and I was curious to see how their
more modern and mobile-friendly interface compares to their old one, the Billing tab in particular. That being said, I didn’t expect any bad surprise (as suggested by my comment in the aforementioned article after a quick tour of their New Client Area):
At least this tab is simple and functional.CogitActive
Indeed, once in the Billing section, I was already under the Billing Details sub-tab where I could see my credit card info. There was only one option in the three-dot menu: Edit. In the pop-up window, my name was already filled in. I entered the card number and CVV, updated the expiration date, and clicked on the CONFIRM button (not CANCEL). The wheel turned…
Make sure that you keep a valid credit card on file at all times. All fields on the credit card update form are required.
… and there was a quick pop-up message:
Card saved successfully.
Conclusion: the Billing tab of the New Client Area is much better than the “old” Billing section indeed – at least as far as updating the credit card info is concerned. Good job!
